So yeah, just because greenhorns have not figured the game out it doesn't mean the experienced veterans have not. And since then, with every next wave, the average skill level of the playerbase has been watered down. That's how the late Alpha / early Beta looked like. Now imagine having 30, 40 or even 50 of those players on a single server. Players who could singlehandely carry a public game with their tactical knowledge, experience and mechanical skills. But the depth is still there, it's just harder to see it when veterans need to babysit noobs, and they might not even listen anyway.Дuring the late Alpha / early Beta the vast majority of RS2 playerbase were grizzled veterans, including the very best RO2 players in the world. Yes, RO2 loses a lot of tactical depth, but that's only because of the COMPLETELY new players who most likely have never played a game like this ever. And after all we had to learn only 3 maps that are very, very simple. Top veterans who have spent more than 1k hours (some more than 2 or even 3k) in RO2 don't need as much time to learn RS2 as the others. No, we have already figured the game out.

RS2 is still new and people haven't figured out how to play well yet so the technical depth isn't there yet Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2 Multiplayer. That is the main difference between the two, apart from the jungle setting and the automatic weapons. I was thinking how it would affect if japanese machine guns were like mix between: you could use it like BAR - aim down the sights without setting it up, to give it some flexibility, and you could use it like M1919 - from set-up position. Making unlocks cosmetic only is a HUGE difference and has been a great decision. ZERO motivation to play the game with those unlocks.Д«ut now that Rising Storm 2 does away with that system, apart from the cosmetic unlocks of course, I'm really enjoying RO again. Most of the RO veterans had already left. By the time the Classic / Realism modes showed up, it was already too late. Red Orchestra 2 was really disappointing to me because of the necessity to unlock even standard-issue equipment like the bayonet and other silly additions. Though the game isn't as graphically stunning as more mainstream titles like Call of Duty, where it lacks in graphics it makes up for in gameplay. I've participated in Battle For Europe: Red Orchestra which was a lot of fun. Red Orchestra 2 and its expandalone Rising Storm are World War II First Person Shooters published by Tripwire Interactive.

I have even played RO when it was still a mod for UT2004, about 12 years ago. The main difference is the lack of a shitty unlock system. I hope it will be added soon by the devs or a mod. But i miss the multiplayer campaign mode from RO in this game. Kinda interesting mechanic that vietnams have squad tunnels. So now killing someone that has an m16 with a bolt action rifle feels amazing.

Having full auto weapons doesnt make it as fullfilling to kill someone as in red orchestra, but for the love of god the divine devs added bolt action rifles. Gun sounds needs a rework all the guns sound to familiar to eachother. Even though there are only a few maps in the beta, they all look good and some are very fun to play on. tracking RS2: Vietnam is exactly the same as tracking Red Orchestra 2, there is literally no difference. (especially the mortars/ rockets from the attack heli). But comparing the 2 games, vietnam looks a lot better. Rising storm vietnam looks very nice, its not up to ubisoft standards. Shooting someone is extremely fullfilling. In my opinion rising storm red orchestra had a more immersive feeling, with the bolt action rifles you had to nail the shot or you were probably death.
